How to Connect Toast to Marty

Toast records what happens in your restaurants. Marty reads that record every night and tells you where the cash is leaking, with dollar amounts on every finding.

Short answer

To connect Toast to Marty, you create a read-only admin user in Toast and share that access with the Marty team. Marty reads your sales, labor, void, comp, and discount data overnight and sends an overnight summary to each manager by 6 AM. Marty never writes back to Toast.

How the connection works

Marty is read-only. It reads the data your systems already collect and it never writes back, never changes a price, a schedule, or a menu item.

  1. You create a dedicated read-only admin user inside your tool. Marty walks you through the exact menu path during onboarding.
  2. You share that access with the Marty team. We handle the technical connection for you, so there is nothing for you to install.
  3. Marty reads your data every night, finds the leaks, and sends an overnight summary to each general manager by 6 AM.

Your login details are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and are never shown in any report or log. You can read more on our security page.

What Toast data Marty reads

Marty reads the operating data Toast already collects so it can spot the leaks that plain reports miss.

You keep Toast exactly as it is

This is not a switch. Toast stays your point of sale. Marty adds a cash recovery layer on top of it. Toast shows you what happened. Marty tells you what it is costing you and what to do about it before the next shift.
