How to Connect Square to Marty

Square processes your transactions. Marty reads the data behind them every night and finds the dollars sitting between the lines, one overnight summary per location.

Short answer

To connect Square to Marty, you create a read-only team member with account access in Square and share it with the Marty team. Marty reads your sales, labor, and discount data overnight and sends a overnight summary in the Command Center by 6 AM. Marty never writes back to Square.

How the connection works

Marty is read-only. It reads the data your systems already collect and it never writes back, never changes a price, a schedule, or a menu item.

  1. You create a dedicated read-only admin user inside your tool. Marty walks you through the exact menu path during onboarding.
  2. You share that access with the Marty team. We handle the technical connection for you, so there is nothing for you to install.
  3. Marty reads your data every night, finds the leaks, and sends an overnight summary to each general manager by 6 AM.

Your login details are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and are never shown in any report or log. You can read more on our security page.
